The Oxfam Trailwalker is a great annual event. It helps people out of poverty and it does so by getting all its participants outdoors and active. There is no doubt, however, that it is a grueling event. Even for those accustomed to covering long distances on foot, the 100km from Wheelers Hill to Wesburn will present a serious challenge.
One of the principal difficulties for many will be how participant's feet hold up over the many kilometers of training and over the event itself. Blisters, arch pain, callus, nail bruising, and burning feet are some of the most common ways a trailwalker can be derailed. At Langmore Podiatry we are specialists of the foot and lower limb. We have the experience, technology, and -- most importantly -- the commitment to getting you as prepared as you can be for the undulations ahead.
